Veneto

Beyond Venice there is a treasure

Nobody can deny the City of Venice is one of the most cherished and celebrated city in the world. Once this unique city on water was one of Europe's most influential cities for maritime trades and excahnges. Today it is visited by tourists from all around the world. And it won’t stop. We are sure of it.

But Veneto is also rich in tons of experiences beyond the canals, gondolas and palaces. We have Po deltas 400 square kilometer labyrinth of rivers. A pure celebration of nature and a unique environment to experience with a boat, on a bike, on a horseback, in the canoe or houseboat. For Italians the delta of the Po river is more like a lifestyle than a place where its people is shaped by the dominant nature.

And Venice is not the only city in Veneto: Verona, Padua, Treviso and Vicenza are all big favourites among our Italian cities, all with their own special stories to tell. Which destinations are, for example, more romantic than Verona? You can be like Romeo and Juliet when you get close to the famous balcony.

Veneto is also a part of Europe's most beautiful mountain range, the Dolomites. Here we find the classic and fashionable ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo, where scenes from the James Bond movie "For Your Eyes Only" was filmed. Dolomites are considered from top-class skiing resorts in winter to breathtakingly beautiful hiking trails in summer.

Another perfect painting in the Dolomites are is the Garda Lake, “the Alps mirror”, whose eastern part is located in Veneto. Beautiful villas, quaint seaside resorts, comfortable hotels along the sea coast are relentless.

If you are not satisfied with the glittering surface of Garda Lake, over a distance of 117 km the Adriatic coast offers velvety, amber-coloured beaches that you won’t get tired of that easily!
