Emilia Romagna's Adriatic Coast, the Riviera of the fun

Fun and wounderful beaches between Ravenna and Rimini

Emilia Romagna's Adriatic Coast is known as the "Riviera of the fun".  And its Riviera fully deserves this definition for the many attractions it offers: long sandy beaches, populated by guests of all ages and backgrounds and at night by the people of the clubs.

A long coastline that comes from Lido di Comacchio to Cattolica and crosses many areas including Cervia, Cesenatico, Igea Marina, Bellaria and the famous Rimini, Riccione and Milano Marittima. Places that for over 150 years represent the perfect combination of natural attractions of the area and a tourist industry always able to surprise and innovate.

Within its own winning cards, the Adriatic coast has definitely the welcoming skills of a people with an innate sense of hospitality, the traditional cuisine with its typical products and the great quality/money ration that gives even more added value to the vacation.

But truly its hundred miles of bathing establishments, shops and waterfront restaurants and a lively nightlife that make the Adriatic coast one of the favorite destinations for those who want to spend a holiday of fun and active life .

Fun is also the main character in the numerous amusement parks. Starting from Mirabilandia park, an obligatory stop for families, where games and fairy-tales atmosphere alternate with pools and water games. The spectacular dolphins that inhabit the Rimini Dolphinarium amaze visitors with their acrobatics and adults and children can "visit" hundreds of Italian cities in one day going to Viserba of Rimini, which is an exhibit of "Italy in miniature" to admire the most important monuments of Italy here reproduced. And if the Aquafan astonishes for the animation, made of shows, music and much more the Aquarium of Cattolica takes your breath away for the thousands of species of fish here protected.

The Adriatic coast is also a perfect destination for athletes who can dedicate themselves to their favorite activities no matter if it is cycling ,sailing or golf, trekking, canoeing or hiking. Many hotels are equipped to accommodate cyclists or golfers and conference tourism , which is becoming more prominent and that allows you to combine business with vacation. In addition Rimini and the main centers are often chosen by sports clubs for meetings and championships.

Sun, sea , sports , good food, lots of fun , but also culture. From the coast in fact you can easily reach major cities such as Ravenna, UNESCO world heritage site since 1996 for the splendid Byzantine mosaics, but you can also go inland and explore jewels such as the Malatesta fortresses in Mondaino , Montebello , San Giovanni in Marignano and Saludecio.

Finally, do not miss the culinary experience of Emilia Romagna, home of tasty recipes such as tortellini in broth, Parmigiano Reggiano, Fossa cheese , truffles, hams and salami . These can be enjoyed with "Piadina" the famous flatbread, an unleavened bread symbol of local cuisine to suit all tastes .

The Adriatic Riviera is also a great place to spend a holiday on a boat. There are hundreds of places where you can moor: form the most crowded ports to the more isolated coves, without forgetting the waterways in the province of Ferrara.

The Riviera is also a favorite destination for sailing lovers that in this area will find the famous sailing schools and the opportunity to professionally race.
